Based on our research, we have decided that we are going to use elements of all three radio station examples. We will have the main radio DJ introduce us and our news report will be approximately 5 minutes long we will have 5 news stories as the other stations have this number. We will be using background music during our report to fill silent space in our recording. In relation to the depth of our stories we will go in to one main story in as much detail as newsbeat does and other stories will be XFM / Key 103’s length. We will use pre-recorded clips and interviews in our radio broadcast as we think it adds to the authenticity of the report. We will also use an introductory and exit jingle to signal when the news broadcast is beginning and ending.
