In the Newsbeat example, it starts with an introduction from the radio presenter who hands it over to the news reporter. The main reporter then goes straight into the main headline giving a brief overview with a sound clip relating to the story after talking about the main headline she gives a brief bit of information about other stories and then returns to them later on in the broadcast. Newsbeat looks at all the headlines in detail but focuses heavily on the main story. The stories are separated by a mini jingle saying the name of the programme showing listeners when a news story is changing. There is constant low background music throughout the entire clip to fill any sound gaps in the clip. The lengths of each news story are varied and most contain pre-recorded sound clips. There is also a short link back to the main radio programme during the Newsbeat broadcast to show what’s still to come on the main radio show.
