Inspiration for the park scene

A key element of the park scene is the use of sunset. I'm going to use the technique of pathetic fallacy to describe the mood in this scene.
I'm using sunset because it signifies death, or dying. The friendship of Nick and Paul is reaching its conclusion, as they go separate ways to different universities.

I've been inspired to utilise the sun and natural lighting by the music video for "Last Train Home" By Lostprophets.


The shots focusing on the teenagers in their car, I think, is very effectively used. If I can do half the job that Last Train Home achieved, I will have made something to be proud of.
