Research (I forgot to put on)

I have decided to base my magazine on the Indie style of music and have looked at magazines from NME, Billboard, Blender and Clash. I like the red and black colour schemes in the NME and have decided to use one model for my magazine as it will be easier to organise and plan but will still look good. The Clash magazine is quite busy and has a more mature target audience;i think that it is too complicated to add this level of detail in my magazine. Billboard looks simple but effective, i like the way the model stands out from the magazines as he is wearing quite vibrant,colourful clothes. The Blender magazine has a good blend of text and space for the image of the model, i believe this will be something to take into account when creating my front cover to ensure it is not too clustered or too plain.
