We started to research existing radio shows and issues that we would need to take into consideration when creating our own show.
Originally, we began by listening to local breakfast shows that are aired during the morning prime time. Being drive-time shows, the demographic they were targetting was broad and unspecified to a particular age or gender. We looked at Wish FM and Real Radio. The content of these radios are targetted at a wide range of ages and both genders, the music is appealing to a larger audience rather than aimed at a specific group of people. The websites we looked at were:
http://www.wishfm.net/
http://www.realradio.co.uk/

These are two websites among many that we looked at, after listening to the breakfast and daytime shows of these radio stations we figured that there are currently too many local radio shows that focus on day time entertainment that are targetted at more of a family based audience.
Although we could see the potential positives of doing a show like this, we were more interested in targetting a niche that there may be for teenagers in the current market.
