Alice Wonders for Headliner

So this is my interview. I'm going to take out quotes for the cover and one of the spead pages. I'm also going to use an introdution paragraph at the start of the interview.

Headliner has managed to bag an exclusive interview with Hollywoods brightest starlet. With her fresh and quirky ideas mixed in with her upbeat and funky music she is guaranteed to take the music industry by storm. This is, straight from Wonderland, Alice Wonders (Alice Darby)
1.Why did you decide to do music?
Music's a really important part of peoples lives. I love it. I love the whole atmosphere and hype around music. I also like pleasing people, and seeing the excitement around the public when a new album, single, or tour date is released really inspired me and I wanted to be the person at the epicentre of this excitement.
2. How would you rate the overall success of your debut album?
I don’t know, I mean I like it. ‘Rewind’ knocked Beyonce of the top of the charts last week but she was really nice about it when I met her at the MTV music awards! She told me she had my album on my iPod so I kind of rate that as success! I suppose I just need to get used to the attention being fixated on me for a change.
3.Where do you get your inspiration from?
I do write all of my own songs, but it's just little things that inspire me. When I was growing up my dad would put on all of his 60s and 70s hits. I'd know all the words by the age of 6 and I loved them. The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Lighthouse Family. I know them all. But a more modern inspiration is Calvin Harris. Electro music is guaranteed to make you feel good and I love how he manages to get me on my feet even at the worst times.
4. You have a wardrobe big enough to sit in?
Yeah, i have way too many clothes, loads of it is wacky stage stuff too. I secretly love dressing up and walking round the house in it! I had a stylist for a brief period of time but half the fun in getting ready in rummaging around in my wardrobe and throwing stuff together!
5. Any goals for the future?
Too just keep making music people will love!
6. Embarrassing backstage stories?
Backstage? Plenty. I locked myself out of my dressing room at the last awards show I performed at. My plan was to ask the first person I met how on earth I got back in but I bumped into George Clooney! I couldn’t believe it, the best thing I could come up with was to ask him were the toilets where. I was too embarrassed to tell him the truth. Plus he smiled at me, what’s a girl to do? I’ve had a few stage hiccups to, from slips and trips to torn dresses and broken heels!
7. Ever get star struck?
Definitely, though I supposed growing up in Hollywood should have prepared me for all this. If anything I’m worse than most people! I even got nervous when I got interviewed by Steve (Jones from T4). He’s got a killer six pack and a gorgeous accent!
8.Your a fan of the Welsh?
Oh of course! The Welsh accent is really sexy, though sometimes I get a little confused. You Brits have a really cool one too, no one has made me a cup of tea yet though!
9. Tell us about collaborating with Lady Gaga!
That was the craziest and best thing I’ve ever done. I don’t know how she does it. We sang suspended from the ceiling wearing circus clothes! She looked amazing. I probably looked like I’d fallen head first into a dressing up box! My music is indie gone electro so it matches hers. I'd love to work on more stuff with her.
10. Favourite cover? Or do you just play your own stuff?
Most of it is original stuff but I love taking songs and putting a complete different twist on them. When I hear songs and thing I’d do it differently... then I do! I get home, in my studio and mix things up!
11. Have you got any exciting venues lined up for the near future?
Absolutely, this year’s going to be amazing! I’ve got my ‘Great British Wonderland Tour’ and I’m playing all the big festivals, V Fest, Reading and Leeds, Glasto. I can’t wait. Any British gig is an amazing gig to play at.
12. Did having famous parents help you get your record deal?
Having famous parents and living in Hollywood obviously offers you connections lots of people don’t have but I got the deal for my music and my talent, not just because my dad directs movies.
13. We love your style, who are your fashion icons?
We’ll I really love to mix things up. I love vintage clothing, Audrey Hepburn style, she was amazingly beautiful. But I also love modern styles. I’m totally hooked by Alexa Chung. Taylor Momsen and Pixie Lott too, they always look great. My style is just to be confident in wearing whatever the hell I feel like!
14. Where did the band name come from (though I think we can already guess)?
That’s true. My secret love of Alice in Wonderland in now known worldwide! It was my favourite movie growing up, and to be honest, I’ve not finished growing up yet! I love the whole feeling of awe and wonder she has in the movie and that’s what I wanted to do with my music. Oh and my names Alice! So I’ve always felt a connection to her. I even bought a white rabbit and I was always late for everything! Unintentionally of course...
15. Finally, what three things could you not live without?
My guitar defiantly! These will be such generic answers but my Blackberry to keep connected and chocolate! Without that I would just die!
