After re-writing and re-shooting and re-writing and re-shooting and...
I've finally finished filming (i hope)! I re-shot the bedroom scene with 'Alexa' creating a montage of clips of her getting ready. The bridge between scenes was with a photo of the two children. The zoom out from this showed a teenage girls bedroom containing make-up, magazines and a mirror on the desk to add verisimilitude and give the idea that Alexa is quite feminine and vain, like most teenage girls. The bridge not only linked the two scenes but faded from black and white (as seen in the first scene) to colour (for the rest of the clip). The fade still seemed to be missing something so I edited the clip to momentarily out of focus to draw attention from the audience.
I also filmed a scene in the corridor involving Alexa, some friends, George and Alexa's boyfriend. The group of girls showed Alexa was popular where as George was shown alone, emulating the diea that he was a geek. The two protagonist characters 'bump' into each other, an idea seen in many Romantic Comedys, the cliché way that a lot of couples in films seem to meet! The scene unravels as Alexa boyfriend comes to drag her away and George walks of alone. The looking back shows the longing of both characters for each other but they are kept apart by Alexa's boyfriend.
Time for some editing!
