Opening Sequence!

So my opening sequence, using music to overlay the scene, introduces my two main characters and explains their past (how Alexa and George were childhood best friends. I created a 'memory box' filled with photographs and childhood toys etc. My aim was for the props to look as if they had been made by a child including a picture that was drawn to add verisimilitude.


During editing, I cut them sequence into small clips combining close-up shots, pans and establishing shots. I decided to show these clips in black and white and add a blurred border as it would give the retrospective feel of looking back into the past which was the purpose of these clips.
The song I used (The Show by Lenka) had a soft feel and worked well with the visual element.
