Prelim

Before starting on my main task, we had to prepare a prelim in that media area. We did prelims in both print and video.

I worked in a group for the prelim and we decided to base our magazine on attracting students to come to our college, we used photoshop to make the front cover and took photographs around college.


Ths is the end result:
We decided that our models for our front cover would be the president of our SU, this is significant to the purpose of the magazine as he was elected by the students, for the students.
Although this prelim did give me basic understandings of photoshop, i have yet to fully grasp how to use it; so the project will be a big learning curve!

I think our prelim turned out well as a first attmept, although even now i can see areas that i can improve it on, just from seeing other student's work. The picture at the bottom of the magazine is pretty pointless and adds nothing to the page, I have realsied that most front covers only have one image and I will take this into consideration when I begin my front cover. The colours of the text look good as they are the college colours but the font is not as good as it could be. I have learn a lot from completing this.
