Script - Scene 1 (amended)

From black, opening song plays and shows a CU of a decorated shoe box from above. Cut to XCU up of a small hand pushing the lid lifted off, then return to previous shot but more XCU showing hand reaching inside and pulling out material to cover. Cut to small hands on each side of screne holding up an action man and a barbie (mid shots of dolls, visible childrens hands). This will include the actors names over the top. The next cut will show a picture drawn in pencil or crayon by a child of two friends (a boy and a girl) with Lexy and Matty written in the middle and a child hand show continuing to colour. The title of the film will be show here. Rotating close up of the 'dolls' looking into each others eyes as if in love, symbolysing Alexa and Matt whilst showing more of the credits. Slide to a shot of the box 'overflowing with memories' for example materials, photos, tapes etc as hands reach into the box and remove a toy ring. One small hand places it on another whilst leant over the box but from a different perspective than the last shot. Wipe over another drawing. XCU of opening of a locket containing pictures of the two. Return to shot of the dolls, the two hands put them together to 'kiss'. Shots of a scrapbook of photos are shown of the two children growing up as best friends. The final shot of the first scene will be of a photograph with a zoom out to link to the next scene.
