When researching magazine covers, I looked at Q magazine to find the structure and common conventions. I have found this cover of the Cheryl Cole issue. My magazine will include many of the features included on this magazine cover. I will use a slogan at the top of my cover to give my magazine recognition, like Q use the slogan 'The UK's biggest music magazine', I will use one similar to this. I will include cover stories such as 'the 10 biggest acts of 2010' similar to what Q have used here. I will use a bold striking image of the cover artist like in this case a big bold image of Cheryl Cole has been used. I will create a colour scheme on my cover, Q have used reds, blacks, greys and white. I will use, reds, pinks and blacks to target my audience. Lastly, I will include a bold font for the name of the magazine and insert it at the top of the cover so the cover looks appealing.
