The Models

I decided to model for my front cover and main story as I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do and felt I could achieve what I was trying to get across better this way. I set up the camera and positioned everything how I needed it before I got a friend (Chloe) to press the button on the camera. I then took some photographs myself of her to feature as a smaller story in the magzine e.g on the contents page and the top right of the front cover. I also took one of my sister (Ashley) to feature on my contents page.

Front Cover
For the front cover I took several pictures in different poses so I could see how well each different look worked and make an informed choice. Out of all the photographs I took here are the 3 I narrowed it down to:

I like this picture because I think it will edit quite well but think I don't look confident enough for my 'new start' story, I look quite nervous and not relaxed enough.

I like this picture because I look relaxed and confident, although I don't think sitting down is the best pose for the front cover as it will be hard to fit all of me on. Also I think this would work well on my double page spread as my body language is very forward and inviting, like I am inviting the reader to hear my story.

I like this picture and think I will use it for my front cover. My body language is relaxed and confident, perfect for my 'fresh start' story. Also the blank, bright background relates to the story and you can clearly see me. I think with some editing on Photoshop I could improve this photo and make it stand out more. I should also make my gold broach stand out more as on the Annie Mac cover i studied her necklace stands out against her black top.
