More Photoshop Effects

The Black and White tool created an authentic look of sophistication. Nevertheless, the image was still too dark and the lack of colour was not striking enough to attract the attention of a reader.

Using Posterise proved to be effective as this was closer to the illustrated look I was attempting to achieve. It was colourful, interesting and eye-catching yet had something different about it ccompared to the usual photographs that can be seen on the front of Indie magazines. The effect also highlighted the variation in lighting, from the strong, yellow lighting on the left hand side which reflects off the hair to create different colours to the hint of green underneath and even the darker grey to the right. This made the image appear even more striking.
