Based on my research, Indie magazines tended to have the image central with information at the top and bottom and around the sides of the photograph. I used a mid-shot of my model and created a white box in the top left hand corner where the logo was to be situated, and two red bands that would contain information, one that ran across the top of the cover and one that ran across the bottom. I originally planned to have small snapshots of the same model I used running down the right hand side of the image, which would relate to content in the magazine. However, I later felt these images made the magazine cover appear unprofessional and I therefore decided against using them.
